Young Woman and the Sea
Filmde, Manş Denizi’ni yüzerek geçen ilk kadın olan Trudy Ederle’nin inanılmaz ama gerçek hikâyesi anlatılıyor. Ederle, ablasının sarsılmaz desteği ve antrenörlerinin yardımlarıyla, ataerkil toplumun düşmanca tutumunu ve karşısına çıkardığı tüm zorlukları aşarak ABD’nin Olimpiyat yüzme takımına girmeyi başarmış ve Fransa-İngiltere arasındaki 34 kilometrelik mesafeyi yüzerek geçmişti.
